Seattle Science Fiction Film Festival
I conceived an ad campaign for the Seattle Science Fiction Film Festival (SSFFF). The SSFFF showcases some of the best Science Fiction Films representing dystopian societies. I chose to focus on the “villains” in the films to create a menacing, dehumanizing, always looming, campaign.
These are billboards that will be scattered throughout the city. They are large, they are bigger than life, and they are lurking around every corner. Creating anxiety through imagery before the viewers get to the theatre helps to set a tone for what the festival is all about.
This is the poster series I created to showcase several of the movies that will be shown during the SSFFF. An individual poster will be handed out to the first 25 guests in line at each of the respected films.
Everyone needs some good swag. They especially need it after they just wrapped up the extended version of Blade Runner. Get some coffee in your system before you go Roy Batty.
Cold? I’ll bet you are. Get cozy with this upper body wearable and patch yourself up a limited edition SSFFF patch. It’s good for hats, shirts, wounds, or whatever else needs a little healing.
I made this video in After Effects to drive home the impending feeling of distress. I chose static imagery of “The Machine Man” from Metropolis to challenge the viewer by staring directly at them. Light bursts and fleeting logos aid to the feeling of hope and uneasiness.
