The Turmoil Within
While I am a commercial artist focusing on Promotional Imagery for artists and businesses in both still and motion form, my personal work focuses on bringing awareness to mental, health, and body image issues by manipulating the images in camera with long exposures and handmade filters.
The Turmoil Within is an ongoing personal project that focuses on emotional stress as it would appear if it were physical pain. I use handmade filters along with long and multiple exposures to create the final images which represent these emotional struggles.
In my Projects of Grandeur Series, I’m focusing on showcasing the classic children’s character Alice in both her fantasy world as we know it and the truth behind the looking glass of reality. This is a motion project with the goal of creating a web series (a trailer for this is in the video room).
